Photography

I have been interested in photography ever since I was given a Brownie camera back in the early 1960s. It used roll film. In the late 60s I moved into 35mm photography when I bought a Halina camera. I also began developing and printing my own black and white photographs. I was also a founder member of the Thornaby Photo Club on Teesside.

In the early 1970s I bought a Mamiya-Sekor and went on to run a school photo-club including setting up a darkroom.

In the early 2000s I moved away from film and bought a Sony digital camera which I still use. My latest camera is a Canon 450D used primarily for astrophotography which is my current passion.

I will be adding a few examples of my work on this page in due course.
